Solar
Energy
To switch to solar energy page, you can
click on the solar panel image on the bottom-left corner of the main page
or click on solar energy button at the top of the pages. The
map on the web upper-left corner provides a tool for you to
estimate solar energy for any location in the world. You can
either roam to a location, type in a location name, or type in
an address, and then use the zooming and drawing buttons to
draw an area on the map. You can change the value for
efficiency factor (default value is 0.2). The values in the
Energy, Annual Electricity, and Area grids are the outputs for your
selection.
Wind
Energy
To switch to wind energy page, you can
click on the rotor image on the bottom-right corner of the main page
or click on wind energy button at the top of the pages. You
can choose your efficiency factor (default value is 0.2), a
rotor diameter (default value is 20 meters), number of
turbines (default value is 1), and the tower height (default
value is 10 meter). If you choose 0 as the number of turbine,
this website will internally determine the number of the
turbines based on the area you select. The map on the web
upper-left corner provides a tool for you to estimate wind
energy for any location in the world. You can either roam to a
location, type in a location name, or type in an address, and
then use the zooming and drawing buttons to draw an area on
the map. The values in Power Density, Annual Electricity, and
Area grids are the outputs for your selection.
